The benefits of warm water pools have been known for years.

It has been used for years for people with polio, spinal cord injury, fractured bones and weight loss. It is a benefit to all ages and all populations young and old. The buoyancy of water can surprise you in how it will support your body weight and reduce your pain when you cannot exercise much on land due to back or knee pain. Water provides ease of movement reducing the effects of gravity and lessening compressive forces compared to land exercises. It provides warmth (94°) to relax and massage your muscles and provide resistance as you move in its environment strengthening your muscles. Aquatic therapy can reduce blood glucose levels, decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease, assist with weight loss, improve sleep and allow a sense of well being.
